Professional Biography

I am a faculty member and instructional designer in the Academic Technology Center at Lane Community College, where I support innovative teaching and learning. My career in academia began in 2004 in the Music Department, teaching Audio Engineering and sound design. In 2011, I transitioned to the Media Arts Department, expanding my teaching to include audio post-production, digital design, time-based media, business practices, and multimedia capstone courses.

Alongside my work in education, I have composed and performed electronic and acoustic works in Oregon and at national and international conferences. My passion for sound and multimedia extends into my instructional design practice, where I help faculty integrate technology into their teaching.

Since 2004, I have also worked in software technology and development, managing projects and overseeing software quality assurance for online college-level science and math resources.

I hold an Associate of Arts with Honors from Sacramento City College (1997), a Bachelor of Music, Magna Cum Laude, in Composition from the University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music (2001), a Master of Music in Intermedia Music Technology from the University of Oregon (2004), and a Master’s in Education Technology with a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design from Western Oregon University (2022).
