Brenda Scott Cervantes

Professional Biography

Brenda graduated from the Water Conservation program in 2013. She also received her GIS pathway certificate from LCC. In addition, Brenda graduated from Portland State University with a BS in Social Science and additional coursework in the Natural Sciences.  She also got her teaching certificate and taught Latino youth in a variety of subject matter.  Brenda thinks education is always the key to making the world a better place!!

In 2010, Brenda started LCC and got her degree in the Water Conservation Technician Program. She also got her GIS certificate.  She worked at a local watershed council for a couple of years while in school. Then off to the coast to work for City of Florence Public Works as a GIS technician. But she still wanted to make a difference in the Water World. So now she is back at Lane Community College as a Project Manager adding to education on a couple of fronts.  She is supporting the grant funded Energy Program Building Controls as well as the Water Conservation program.  And recently began teaching the BOC water conservation class.  She sees the opportunities for energy and water to work together!!
