Artie Kotov
Professional Biography
Artie has been an ESL/EFL instructor since 2016. He started his English teaching journey as a Youth Programming Facilitator at the American Center, U.S. Embassy Moscow where he taught English to young learners and organized monthly events devoted to American culture and American English. Since then he has been actively involved in language education. In addition to ESL/EFL, Artie has also been teaching German and Russian as a Foreign Language in various capacities.
Artie is currently finishing his Master of Arts in Language Teaching Studies program at the University of Oregon. His research interests include: community ESL programs, teaching ESL to displaced persons, adult education, literacy, language and gender, language and power, historical linguistics, and pragmatics.
Artie is teaching ESL Combined Skills 500 in Summer 2024.
