Professional Biography

I joined Lane Community College in 2004, beginning my journey in the Music Department, where I taught Audio Engineering and the art of sound capture and composition in time-based media and post-production, as well as software technology. In 2011, I transitioned to the Media Arts Department, where I continued to teach Audio Production with an emphasis on post-production audio. Additionally, I taught courses in digital design, time-based tools, business practices, an introduction to media arts, and multimedia capstone courses for our graduating students.

Since 2021, I have found a permanent, full-time position in the Academic Technology Center, where I serve as a faculty member and work as an instructional designer. Throughout my years living and working in Eugene, I have created, composed, and performed in Oregon. My electronic and acoustic works have been performed both locally in Eugene and at conferences nationally and internationally.

Since 2004, I have also worked in software technology and development, contracting as a project manager and division manager overseeing software quality assurance related to online science and math textbook resources for college-level students and teachers. It is an absolute joy to work in academia in both areas of my career.

My educational background includes an Associate of Arts with Honors from Sacramento City College (1997), a Bachelor of Music, Magna Cum Laude, in Composition from the University of the Pacific, Conservatory of Music in Stockton, California (2001), a Master of Music in Intermedia Music Technology from the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon (2004), and a Master's in Education Technology along with a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design from Western Oregon University (2022).
